15 Months Old!

Two posts... two days in a row!!! This has to be some sort of recent record for me.

Before I go into the meat of my post, let me share a link...

Cathy's Post of FairOaks Farms

She did a MUCH better job describing our experience than my quick jot of a blog yesterday. Cute pictures of little boys running wild also included...

Okay, so today after another fun day at the zoo with friends (Amy and her girls, Andrea and her girls, Suellen, Alicia and Parker and Krysten, her hubby and Sadie), we packed up and left a little early to get to Brett's 15 month doctor appointment.

No pics to attach today, but I am sharing the stats...

Still tall as ever....32 3/4 inches (88%)

Still SKINNY as ever... 21 1/2 lbs (10%)

And, finally his head has grown more proportionate to his body... it's now in the 48%.

This all makes sense... he just went through a massive growth spurt where he imbibed entire kids meals and restaurants. No joke. Sides and all.

The only thing we need to work on is verbal. For all of his chatting, he only has 3 words I can understand. He may be saying more in his "toddlerese" that I don't get yet, but he should have 5-15 by now. Although Steve thinks he says more.

Anyway, that's all for now.. I'll try to check in again sooner rather than later :).

Catching Up - Encounters with both wild and domestic animals.

Okay, trying to catch up here...

Alot has been going on in our lives lately. I've briefly touched upon our frustration with the house. Well, all of the repairs are almost completed and we have received all by $500.00 from the insurance company (which we expect to receive within the next week or so), so that's good. No one has actually BOUGHT the house yet, but I've resigned myself to not selling so I'm trying to make peace with that.

Anyway, Brett has been growing and developing all during the craziness of our lives and I've really not blogged about it.

He's started to say one more word besides mama and dada... "hot". And, he is almost running. He also likes to shake his head "no", especially when you nod your head "yes". He has such a funny disposition, and is a total flirt with the ladies.

Okay, so here are some pictures. The first are from a trip to the Indy zoo with Cathy, Amy and Andrea back in June (see, I know I'm a slacker!). We managed to wrangle 8 kids all 3 and under and I think everyone managed to have a good time.

The following pics are from a trip to Fair Oaks farm with Cathy and Tina and all of our boys last week. The first is of them at the birthing barn, and then what follow were Brett's favorite part of the trip. They have a pit of balls in this small little playground for little kids and Brett wanted to sit there all day and play. He has recently found the dog's balls and carries them around all day so I think he was rather mesmerized with all of the balls he had to play with.

I'm Still Here!

Just a short blog post to let you know that I am still alive. I've really been burdened with these stupid house showings and haven't had any creative inspiration in a long time. In fact, writing a blog has become another "chore" to do, instead of something I look forward to. I am hoping that we sell our house, I really do. We have had 53 showings since April 24th without a bite, and it seems that is all that is encompassing our lives right now.

So, anyway, I hope to check in later with better news. Brett, the main focus of the blog, is great. He's recently discovered how much he loves his pal Cheetah. Yep, Cheetah is about 1/2 the size of Brett, and yet Brett carries him all over the house. At night he snuggles him. It's cute, and I need a pic... but again, that takes time and effort, and, well, you know...
